Returns

If you are in any way dissatisfied with your purchase, our customer service team is here to help! We accept returns on most unopened and unused items offered in our online storefront. Returned merchandise must be received in the original sealed factory packaging within 30 days of delivery and is inspected upon arrival for approval. Merchandise which does not comply with these requirements will be promptly discarded without refund upon arrival. Customers are responsible for all shipping costs associated with their return. Please review the list of exceptions below.

Returns without a valid return authorization will be refused without refund. To initiate a return, please send an email to hello@finishtheory.com within 14 days after your order has been delivered with the following information:

  • Your Finish Theory order number
  • The name, SKU, or web link of the product(s) being returned
  • Total quantity to return
  • Reason for return

Our customer service team will contact you within 2 business days of receiving your email to supply a return authorization number, instructions, and a return address. Return packages received without a prior return authorization will be refused from the carrier. Buyers may ship back items using the carrier of their choosing however we strongly encourage a trackable service or including insurance. Finish Theory is not responsible for any returned merchandise lost or damaged in transit.

Finish Theory does NOT accept returns or exchanges on the following items under any circumstances:

  • Wallpaper Samples and Fabric Samples
  • Opened or Used Wallpaper Rolls and Decor Products
  • Cut Fabric
  • Sale Items
  • Specialty or Custom Items

 

Refunds

Returned merchandise will be inspected upon arrival for approval. Products must arrive undamaged in their original factory packaging. If merchandise is sent back opened or used, any pending refund will unfortunately be cancelled and the product will be discarded or returned to the recipient if you choose to provide us a return mailing label. Damaged returned items will be held for a period of 14 days before being discarded. 

Upon approval a credit will automatically be applied to your credit card or original method of payment within 7 business days. Shipping charges are non-refundable under any circumstances. If you are experiencing issues with your refund first check your bank account or contact your credit card company; it may take some time before your refund is officially posted. If you’ve done all of this and you still have not received your refund yet, please contact us at hello@finishtheory.com for assistance.

Finish Theory will not reimburse any labor charges or collection fees under any circumstances. Refunds for merchandise which is refused from the designated shipping carrier will be subject to a 25% restocking fee in addition to a deduction of all incurred shipping costs and carrier issued refusal fines.

 

Damaged Merchandise

In the event you receive damaged or defective merchandise please send an email to hello@finishtheory.com with your Finish Theory order number and images of the product within 14 days of delivery. Upon review and approval we will promptly replace the merchandise if possible or issue the appropriate refund amount for the merchandise value. 

 

Cancellations & Exchanges

We unfortunately cannot accept cancellations under any circumstances once an order has been placed. Orders are automatically processed and distributed to the appropriate supplier within 15-30 minutes of payment in order to ensure timely order processing and shipment for our customers. We cannot honor exchanges other than those pertaining to damaged merchandise.

We reserve the right to cancel any order at our sole discretion due to any of the following reasons: fraud detection, insufficient stock, and invalid or undeliverable shipping addresses
